Location: Retail store, with apartments above it.

History: Many years ago, a fire destroyed the upstairs apartments, killing 1 individual.

Reports: Books and a statue have been seen flying off shelves in the middle of the day and the front door opens by itself from time to time.

Investigation Results:  With a baseline of around zero on the EMF detector, we soon found spikes on a wooden chair. Testing underneath it and all sides, it seemed to admit from the wooden chair itself. Asking various questions, it tended to spike after specific questions, as though something was answering us. This went on for several minutes. Thinking there was a pattern, we timed the seconds between the spikes and once we thought we had found a pattern, it suddenly changed. This happened several times.

            We then relocated the chair to a different part of the room with the device still going off and answering our questions. Taking the device off the chair we moved EMF detector back to the location where the chair originally was only to find no readings.

            At this point the entire shop seemed to come alive with EMF spikes and then it went completely flat. Upon investigating the chair, we realized that there was nothing in the padding but foam. We searched the basement and found a grounded pipe directly under where the chair originally was, but it didn’t follow the path of the chair we moved. In fact, there was no power lines under the new location of the chair.

            We have no explanation for these EMF spikes that seem to sit in this chair.
